Bridging Field Intelligence and Insurance Efficiency

Timely resolution of insurance claims is essential to controlling costs and delivering a positive customer experience. But in the field, things are rarely that simple.

Adjusters often juggle dozens of claims from multiple carriers, each with unique documentation standards and inspection requirements. When catastrophes strike, claim volumes spike, and adjusters—already stretched thin—must move faster while maintaining accuracy. This leads to missed details, re-inspections, longer cycle times, and frustrated policyholders.

This was the reality Hernando and Cassandra Gallegos faced while growing CCMS & Associates, a national independent adjusting firm.

“We weren’t always getting the right information fast enough during large-scale events,” says Hernando. “It was incomplete, late, or both. We needed a faster way to collect quality, client-specific data to drive claim decisions.”

With a unique blend of field expertise and technical innovation, Hernando and Cassandra Gallegos envisioned a smarter approach to inspections. Partnering with family member Alex Gallegos—a seasoned adjuster and talented programmer—they created ION Insight. Onsite. Now.™ a flexible, field-data collection platform designed to simplify and standardize inspections.

What Sets ION Apart

ION’s strength lies in its ability to adapt to each client’s specific needs. Its robust API infrastructure delivers data instantly and securely. Designed by adjusters for adjusters, ION prioritizes accuracy, speed, and consistency. It’s also SOC 2 compliant, ensuring top-tier data security.

  • We drive faster claims decisions with smart technology—delivering efficiency and keeping the human touch.

Unlike generic photo apps, ION enables carriers to create tailored inspection workflows. Assignments are dispatched to adjusters via the mobile app (available on iOS and Android) through REST API. If a carrier requires attic photos or proof of a fence touching a dwelling, the app mandates those steps before the adjuster can proceed—eliminating re-inspections and omissions.

The platform automates reporting, generating loss summaries, scope sheets, and labeled photos. All outputs are structured as clean, actionable data points. Once an inspection is complete, data flows directly into the claim file via API—no delays, no manual entry.

This allows firms to quickly identify reserves, determine the cause of loss, assess damage severity, and support findings with geocoded photos. ION also integrates with systems like Salesforce, Dropbox, OneDrive, and any platform with open API access.

Built for Catastrophes

During the back-to-back hurricanes in Florida in 2024, several regional carriers used ION to manage catastrophe field programs. Adjusters preloaded assignments, captured data offline, and synced everything once connectivity returned. Reports and photos were transmitted instantly, even from disaster zones.

Proven Results

A time study by a leading claims management service provider showed that claims processed with ION closed in less than half the industry’s 11-day average. A 70 percent reduction in coverage decision time translated to faster payouts and higher customer satisfaction.

In 2025, a major contractor managing widespread tree service work during a catastrophe turned to ION. Facing disorganized data and limited oversight, they needed a streamlined solution ION was configured to match their operations and integrated with Salesforce. Within weeks, they were capturing structured, real-time data and eliminating manual delays.

Elsewhere, carriers in Texas and Florida adopted ION through their work with CCMS & Associates. They now rely on the platform for real-time inspection tracking, faster QA cycles, and reduced field cycle times. If clarification is needed, teams can contact adjusters while they’re still onsite—avoiding costly delays and eliminating re-inspections.

Continuous Improvement

ION’s commitment doesn’t end at deployment. The team provides hands-on onboarding, live support, and actionable analytics. They regularly engage with users to identify pain points and implement improvements.

If a carrier wants to reorganize report sections or prioritize certain data points, the ION team adjusts the template—whether it’s a minor tweak or a major overhaul.

To support users, ION includes a learning management system (LMS). Field professionals become ION-certified through short digital courses and testing. Each new program includes a tailored course to ensure clarity and confidence.

Solving Bigger Problems

ION also addresses broader operational challenges. IONBridge, a middleware solution, unifies data across multiple Claims Management Systems. As carriers adopt more platforms, IONBridge eliminates manual duplication and enables seamless data flow.

Looking Ahead

ION aims to streamline the claims process by combining skilled adjusters with Logic and AI-powered tools. ION outputs such as auto generated GLR reports, labeled photos, scope sheets, and accurate sketches, the team is building features that will generate preliminary estimates from field data—enabling a faster, more efficient workflow where humans and technology collaborate to shorten the claim lifecycle.

"We drive faster claims decisions with smart technology—delivering efficiency and keeping the human touch," says Hernando Gallegos.
