Primasis, a trusted insurance technology company from Indonesia, is driven by the mission to digitalize the claims processing administration and workflow and provide insurance companies with automated, reliable, and scalable tools for their intricate operations. It acts as a third-party administrator for the motor vehicle (MV) insurance sector and aims to eliminate challenges like human errors and fraud by offering its MV Claim Processing Platform.

Primasis’ platform is an integrated solution with applications like BengkelNET, ClaimNET, LelangNET, and SurveyNET, which connects insurance companies, workshops, spare part suppliers, insurance partners, and policyholders, revolutionizing and streamlining the claim processing experience.

“Each application in our platform has different functionalities covering every need of insurance companies while claim processing,” says Budi Santoso Asmadi, managing director, Primasis.

BengkelNET, Primasis’ core application, connects insurance companies with workshops, spare part suppliers and policyholders. On receiving a claim request, clients can verify its repair eligibility and engage with BengkelNET. The application generates all the documents, enabling insurance companies to liaise with workshops and spare part suppliers quickly. It helps in dispatching the vehicle to the workshop nearest to the policyholder while allowing clients to monitor operations and identify any previously undisclosed damages. It also facilitates seamless coordination between insurers and spare part suppliers, streamlining the repair process. Since its platform is completely digitized, every document involved in claim processing is signed and shared digitally and insurance companies are updated with real-time notification of the repair process.

While digitalization eliminates manual errors, the ability to monitor repair documents enables insurers to detect any fake photograph submitted and prevent fraud. Insurers can also use BengkelNET to ask insureds for clicking and uploading real-time pictures of the vehicle along with location to prevent frauds while submitting the claim request.

Further demonstrating Primasis’ efforts to streamline claim processing is its aspiration to use AI for damage recognition from images submitted during claim requests. It is working to integrate AI with its platform to detect the severity of damages and suggest the best repair or replacement options.

This reduces dependency on human understanding and enables deployment of the correct options automatically.

Primasis also trains workshop’s employees to help them understand and seamlessly operate BengkelNET. Because traditionally, most workshops have written documents and share repair images through WhatsApp, their documents often get lost when invoicing the insurance company.

This causes delays and errors, leading to financial loss. The training enables them to use the BengkelNET on their mobile phones, which stores every document and automatically deploys the invoice, helping workshops to invoice every operation hassle-free.

For claim processing of vehicles with total loss only (TLO) and total loss accident (TLA) status, insurance companies can use ClaimNET, which connects them with corporate clients and leasing companies. If insureds want to auction these vehicles, insurers can use LelangNET to connect with buyers and create a transparent and direct auction to sell the vehicles.

Primasis’ SurveyNET application is deployed to connect insureds with surveyors via video call and schedule the surveys. This digital survey option has benefited multiple insurance companies during COVID-19, as they could not deploy surveyors for on-site physical inspection.

“Whether it is repairs, auctions, or surveys, we make it seamless for insurance companies. We also enable them to conduct every monetary transaction through our platform in the most secure way,” says Asmadi.

Differentiating Primasis is its approach to lock the prices of parts and services from workshops and parts suppliers. This enables insurance companies to get proper rates and eliminates the possibility of wrong price inputs in invoices. Additionally, as Primasis solely focuses on Indonesian clients, it can provide insurance companies in the nation with the fastest support. These capabilities have also earned it the trust of leading insurance companies like PT. Zurich Asuransi Indonesia, PT. Asuransi Umum Mega, PT. Asuransi Untuk Semua (AUS), and PT. Asuransi Tugu Pratama Indonesia Tbk.

Beyond assisting insurance companies, Primasis also offers emergency route assistance for insureds. In case of accidents or vehicle failure, it allows insureds to instantly connect with insurers and gain timely help.

Its zeal to go above and beyond to aid different stakeholders associated with claim processing makes Primasis a leader in the MV insurance space.
